Rhys Chard is a London-based actor, classically trained bass vocalist and performer whose work spans theatre, musical theatre, opera, television, film, commercials and live entertainment.
His experience includes projects associated with major broadcasters, production companies and brands including the BBC, Channel 4, Disney, Nickelodeon, Tesco, Boots, Clarks and LADbible, alongside stage productions ranging from musical theatre and commercial entertainment through to opera and concert performance.
Trained at Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music & Dance and the Royal Academy of Music, Rhys combines a distinctive bass voice with a broad performance background across stage and screen. He is particularly drawn to psychologically complex characters, authority figures, dark comedy and character-led storytelling.
Alongside performance, Rhys has a keen interest in phonetics and communication, particularly in Welsh, Italian, French and German, and has previous experience as a multi-instrumentalist including clarinet, flute, viola and tuba. His professional background in leadership and management continues to inform his collaborative approach and attention to detail both on and off set.
