Anna is currently appearing as Inaya Shah in 5 episodes of “Passenger”, a new comedy/thriller series airing now on ITV.

After leaving University in London, where she studied modern languages, Anna attended St Martin’s school of Art part-time, before going on to attend the Arts Educational Drama School. She has since worked in theatre, TV and film.

Theatre experience ranges from classical theatre with companies such as the Maly Drama Theatre Co from St Petersburg to physical theatre with a leading Japanese Experimental Theatre Co; she also worked on a number of British premier productions including Alan Cubitt’s “Between The Lines” with Bristol Express Theatre Company and Lorca’s “The Shoemakers Wife” (part of The Peter Brook symposium at The V & A), as well as with Compass Theatre on a devised piece for the Edinburgh Fringe festival.

Anna was a member of the Actors Laboratory, set up by Anna Furse of Paines Plough Theatre Co. which involved collaborating with a writers group, as well as working on classical texts such as Medea. Favourite roles played include ‘Masha’ (in Chekhov’s “The Three sisters”), ‘Therese Desqueroux’, ‘The Mother’ in Lorca’s Blood Wedding and Shakespeare’s ‘Titania’.She has worked for the BBC, Channel 4, ITV, MTV & Sky and also features in the film ‘Anna Karenina’, directed by Joe Wright.

In her younger days, Anna enjoyed a stint at The Royal Opera House, where she particularly enjoyed working on a Franco Zefferelli production of Pagliacci starring Placido Domingo and a donkey!

She is a qualified Acting teacher, as well as an “Awareness coach”; and also has some presenting experience. Other passions include tennis, yoga, dancing (especially Argentinian Tango!), jazz music, photography and being amongst nature! During the lockdowns she developed green fingers, bought her first ever wetsuit and a “brand new pair of roller-skates” so has now added wild water swimming, rollerskating and gardening to her skills!”
