Chiara von Galli is a German-British actor and theatre director based in Berlin. She started working as an actress at the age of seven, when she shot her first commercial. From then on quickly followed television productions, feature films, short films, music videos, both nationally and internationally, amounting to almost 25 years of experience in the industry up to now. Chiara has shot films with Christine Wiederkehr, Vivian Näfe, has acted in Lars Kornhoffs short film “Kinderspiel”, which was shortlisted for an Oscar. She has played several leads in productions for the ZDF and ARD and has worked for production companies like Bavaria and Constantin. She played the role of Petrina in the international feature Film “The Dark Kingdom”, worked with award winning director Clara Zoe My-Lihn von Arnim and has shot a historical feature film under the direction of the Grimme Preis and Prix Europa nominated Sandra Kaudelka, in which she played one of the leads “Maria” alongside Matthias Bundschuh and Walter Hess.
During the 10 years in which she lived in the UK, she took private acting lessons with Vanessa Kirby and Paul Bown and was awarded her BA (HONS) Degree in Acting from the Mountview Academy of Theatre Arts. Since graduating, apart from working on Screen, she has also had several theatre engagements in the UK and in Germany and worked as a voice actress in advertising, games, dubbing and corporate voice overs.

Alongside her acting work, she is exploring the field of Theatre Directing in Berlin and has, over the past year, directed several plays (Oresteia 2.0 – The Miser by Moliere – Closer by Patrick Marber – as well as a Showcase for one of the Local Drama Schools).

She passionately plays the Cello, which is a constant work in progress and writes poems and plays. She is also a licensed Personal Trainer and has a great passion for improvised intuitive movement exploration.
