Ignacy Grzegorz Rybarczyk was born in Zielona Góra, Poland. He is a multilingual stage, TV and film actor.
He is bilingual in Polish & English and a confident speaker of French and German.
After graduating from carpentry high school he applied for Polish literature and philosophy studies as well as Sociocultural-animation of Theatre and was admitted to both but decided to dedicate himself to theatre at Uniwersytet Zielonogorski from which he graduated with a Masters degree. During his studies he would often participate in workshops run by master Nikolay Viepriev with ‘Teatr Nikoli’ in Cracow at which he would practice mime, clowning and commedia dell’arte. Ignacy has also studied acting in Ireland at the Gaiety School of Acting.
In 2006 he travelled to Ireland, where he was teaching acting at Marino College for further education. During that time he formed a theatre company ‘Marino Moon Theatre Troupe’ for which he produced and directed ‘O’Maley’s Bar’ a devised show based on Nick Cave’s song of the same title and Janusz Glowacki’s ‘Hunting Cockroaches’ that premiered at the ‘Five Lamps Arts Festival’ and later in the year 2011 was performed at the D-Light Studios, Dublin.
Ignacy began his professional stage career in Ireland, when Niamh Gleeson wrote a play ‘Aisling & Pavel’ with him in mind. It was directed by Roisin Lonergan for ‘Five Lamps Theatre Company’ and has toured in south of Ireland and Wales in 2009. Shortly after he would be cast in character parts in TV and feature films such as ‘Ripper Street’ BBC, ‘Le Bureau des Légendes’ Canal+, ‘The Informer’ Werner Bros, ‘Acceptable Risk’ RTE and ‘The Agency’ Paramount+ to name a few.
In 2014 he relocated to Northern Ireland where he lived in a small fishing village in the heart of the Mourne mountains. There he would travel to local schools to run theatre workshops and to teach acting whilst occasionally acting for films and TV. From 2021 until 2024 he’d perform in community theatre in Newcastle Co. Down for ‘Donard Theatre Group’ where he would play various parts of Italian, American and Polish heritage.
In year 2025 he relocated with his wife and two children to Brittany, France where he’s involved in local cultural heritage theatre and street performances.
