‘Solid Stout’ Scots/American actor Justin Skelton grew up in Drumnadrochit on the shores of Loch Ness in the Scottish Highlands and Long Island New York.
He is known for The Outlaws Season 3 (BBC/ Four Eyes/ Amazon) Outlander Season 3 (Amazon /Sony Starz) Grange Hill (BBC) and also for playing a variety of kings; King James VI in King Jamie and The Angel (Channel 4/ Caledonia TV) King Edward VII in The Million Dollar Princess’s (Smithsonian Channel) and King Cuthbert of Harmonia in Sleeping Beauty – Panto (Imagine Theatre)!
Justin is a graduate of The Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama where he won the Performers Medal and in stage career of nearly three decades his credits include The Hobbit (West End and Tour), Spring Awakening (Theatre 28), Bard in the Botanics Summer Season (Glasgow Rep), Tobacco Road (Nottingham Playhouse), Hamlet (Millfield Theatre), and Tales of The Lost Formicans (Caroline Hunt/ Bristol Old Vic).
Justin has recently toured with Some Kind of Theatre’s critically acclaimed and award-winning production of The Grandmothers Grimm which has been seen across the UK at The Southwark Playhouse, The Buxton and Edinburgh Fringe, many venues across the Scottish Highlands and Borders and is soon to open at the Traverse Theatre Edinburgh.
He has appeared in commercials for BT, Carling, Dobbie’s and Star Trek Fleet Command. An experienced voice actor (with a home studio) he has been heard in several productions for LBC Independent Radio Drama, The Heart Manual (NHS Scotland) and is producing a series of six audiobooks The Warriors of Tir nan Nog.
