Michael trained at Liverpool Theatre School and whilst there performed the roles of Jesus, Godspell; Joey/Eddie, Road; Jamie, Boys Don’t Cry (A short film for Cannes film festival). Michael graduated in 2007, receiving the ‘Graduate of the Year’ award.
Theatre credits include Dancer in Cinderella at the Tameside Hippodrome, Manchester; Tootles in Peter Pan, Grove Theatre, Dunstable. As well as working in children’s Theatre In Education, touring the UK.
For Bill Kenwright Ltd: Michael joined the Joseph touring company in 2009 and performed the role of Gad and Dance Captain until November 2015; he then joined the company of Jesus Christ Superstar as Dance Captain, 1st Cover Jesus and playing Thomas The Just. In 2017 he joined the cast of Ghost The Musical; Michael choreographed the show when Ghost The Musical debuted in Moscow in 2018. Michael continued with the show for the 2019 European Tour as Choreographer, Children’s Director and Dance Captain. He has also performed in the UK and International tours of Evita.
Michael is now working with Sister Act The Musical, having toured with the company and continues the roles of ensemble, swing, fight captain, dance captain and associate choreographer in the show’s residency at The Dominion Theatre in 2024.
Michael has directed and choreographed two separate shows at The Edinburgh Festival: Tomb to Womb, and Mr Vinegar for 2BAAP Theatre Company, both receiving high acclaim at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival.
